FIFA president Sepp Blatter will attend the draw for 2018 World Cup qualifiers in St Petersburg on July 25, Russian news agency TASS reported, citing Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko.
"Of course, (Blatter) will attend (the draw)," Mutko was quoted as saying, adding that "the whole of the (FIFA) executive committee will be there, as well as all 209 national federations. Preparations are going as planned."
Meanwhile, Russian Football Union's general secretary Anatoly Vorobyov said that Blatter would attend.
"As a person who knows a few things about Blatter, I am in no doubt that he will attend the draw."
Four days after being reelected for a fifth consecutive term to FIFA's top post, Blatter announced he was resigning amid investigation into corruption charges against senior FIFA officials.
