World Cup 2014: Spain v Netherlands Preview and Projected Lineups

In one of the most anticipated battles of the opening days of the ground stages, Spain and Netherlands face off in a rematch of the 2010 World Cup Final.

Spain got the better of Clockwork Oranje then and they will be looking to do so again as Holland continue to have a battle to find their identity.

Vicente del Bosque has the most pressing decision to make over whom his first team rightback will be as Cesar Azpilicueta and Juanfran are fighting for the top spot.

Meanwhile Holland's real battle for places is in the midfield as Nigel De Jong is expected to be in the order but there is no guarantee whom is next amongst Jonathan de Guzman, Jordy Clasie and Leroy Fer.

The Spaniards are favored, but there is never any reason to rule out the Dutchmen as they have the ability to make a flying return to glory in the flick of a forward pass.

Spain Starting XI: Casillas: Juanfran, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Xavi, Busquets, Alonso; Iniesta, Costa, Silva.

Netherlands Starting XI: Cillessen: Vrij, Vlaar, Indi; Janmaat, Guzman, Jong, Blind; Sneijder; Persie, Robben.
