Lebanese singer Diana Haddad revealed that she is in the process of preparing for a new song about the Arab nation that is going through a series of revolutions in different countries. Diana stressed that the current time is not appropriate for releasing romantic songs.

According to the internet website MBC.net, the new song is written by Egyptian poet Mustafa Marsi and composed by Waleed Saed. Diana stated that the song is not about a particular Arab country, but rather combines all the Arab countries and talks about unity and peace.

Diana said that the conditions of the Arab world are disastrous and obligates artists to unite  with the calls of people who are fighting for their freedom and basic human rights.

Diana is hoping that her message will reach the hearts of everyone and have a positive impact. She added that once the song “Al Watan Al Arabi” (The Arab Nation) is complete she will film it in the form of a music video and release it on all satellite channels starting with MBC.
