Egyptian actress Wafa Amer threatened to quit acting if director Khaled Youssef did not nominate her for a role in his upcoming films.
Wafa said that
she enjoys working with Khaled more than any other director.
Wafa also said that she makes a point to only choose one project per season, to ensure that she has enough time to devote to caring for her son and her husband.
Wafa revealed that she wishes to play the role of
Suzanne Mubarak, wife of ousted Egyptian President Husni Mubarak, in response
to strange rumors that she was spying on other actors for the Egyptian
government.
During an interview with the show “Yallah Cinema,” aired
on the satellite channel Dream, Wafa said that she does not fear playing the
role of an elderly woman in the movie “Kaf Al Qamar” (Hand of the Moon) by
director Khaled Yusuf. I am an actress, and therefore will play any worthy
role, said Wafa.
