Oryx Rotana Distributes Iftar Meals During the Holy Month of Ramadan

In keeping with the spirit of caring and sharing during the holy month of Ramadan and as part of community and charity activities, Oryx Rotana distributed Iftar boxes to commuters and taxi drivers who were stuck in traffic and there work and couldn’t make it home on time for Iftar

Individually packed Iftar packs prepared by hotel, which included a selection of food and beverage items, were distributed to commuters at the Toyota traffic signal near the hotel. Furthermore, cab drivers who drove through the main entrance of the hotel to drop off guests, received complimentary Iftar packs to break their fast.

Various members of the hotel's team came together to enthusiastically assist in the activity, which is a part of brand’s CSR activities aimed at giving back to the society in the best way possible. Utmost hygiene and food safety standards were followed in food packaging & distribution.

On this occasion, Leani van Tonder, Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications, Oryx Rotana, stated: “Ramadan is a month of giving and sharing our blessings with the less fortunate. Such activities are in line with our company's values of compassion and generosity. Through the Iftar boxes, our aim was to put a smile on the faces of the under privileged and to those motorists who could not reach home in time to break their fast.”
