Toshiba introduces its state-of-the-art 84 inch Ultra HD 4K Regza LED in Dubai

Toshiba, the world leader in innovative and high technology, upped the ante in TV world when it introduced its state-of-the-art 84 inch Ultra HD 4K Regza model in Dubai with four-times more precise picture quality compared to full HD. The TV was unveiled by Yuji Motomura, Chief Specialist in Toshiba's TV Marketing Department, who is the main brain behind this creation. 

The model to be priced under $20,000 will be launched in Middle East and Africa this summer. According to Toshiba officials the brand holds nearly 11% market share in TV segment in the region. However, with the introduction of this new model, it would be able to enhance it by 15%. A truly exciting model, the 4K Regza is clearly positioned as a top luxury product. It took Toshiba technicians three years to perfect the picture quality that decreases in large screens using full HD. The brand has achieved high picture quality using the latest semiconductor technology in the image engineering process and as a result has produced the ‘ultimate representation’ of true image that is still far-fetched in the real world. The model has already been launched in USA and Japan and is receiving rave reviews.

Giving details on the new model, Motomura said: “At Toshiba TV Division our aim always is to pursue the ‘superior picture quality’ for our users and inspire them with our high technology. Thus the Ultra HD 4K technology developed by Toshiba gives the new model an outstanding sense of detail and enhanced picture quality much more compared to others available in the market and that also without any artificial gimmicks. Our excellent gradation output with analogue-like brightness produces a sense of depth and texture without compromising on black and white contrast.” 

According to Mr Motomura Toshiba’s resolution definition coupled with its innovative technology optimizes images using three components of an input image: texture, edge, and flat portions. The texture of the image then optimized by 4K Fine Texture Restoration creates high picture quality, fit for the 4K panel. The new technology – Regza engine CEVO – is slated to revolutionize cinema experience as its 4K system will achieve full HD picture presentation including that of Blu-ray software with high precision as and when applied in theatres. 

Praising the unique features of Regza, Yusuke Fujiwara, renowned Japanese critic and author of Renaissance of Picture Quality, said: “Toshiba has revolutionised this technology and has maintained excellent picture quality and colour from all angles – a rarity in LEDs. Therefore, I can say with confidence that Toshiba 84 inch Ultra HD 4K Regza will be a fort runner in LEDs once launched in summer this year.”
