Russian defense ministry announces significant losses for Ukraine in the Kursk area

ALBAWABA - Following the start of hostilities in the Kursk area on August 6, the Russian Ministry of Defense has disclosed serious losses suffered by Ukraine. Over 8,200 Ukrainian military have lost their lives in the continuing battle, according to the government.

942 enemy military equipment, including 521 armored combat vehicles, 242 military trucks, 76 tanks, 67 armored personnel carriers, and 36 infantry fighting vehicles, are allegedly destroyed in the region, according to Russian military statements. In addition, the Ukrainian forces have lost twelve electronic warfare stations, five air defense systems, sixteen rocket launchers (including two American-made MLRS systems and four HIMARS systems), and a variety of radar and technical equipment.

Up to 400 men, 18 armored vehicles (including a tank and three APCs), 14 infantry combat vehicles, three artillery pieces, three mortars, one EW system, and seven military trucks are said to have been lost by Ukrainian forces in the last 24 hours alone.

Along with information on recent combat operations, the Ministry of Defense said that during August 29 and 30, five Ukrainian raids in the Kursk area were repulsed. Residential areas in Kreminna, Pushkarske, Cherkasske, and Borycheve were the targets of the Ukrainian attacks; nevertheless, Russian soldiers were able to effectively protect these districts.
