Soul Hackers 2 will use the traditional turn-based system from earlier Shin Megami Tensei games, but it will also include social features similar to the Persona titles. This is undoubtedly a niche entry on this list, but it has a devoted fanbase.

While technically revealed during Summer Game Fest, Sony accidentally revealed The Last Of Us Part I, a ground-up remake of the PS3 classic for PS5 and PC, one hour before the show began. The Last of Us Part 1 is billed as the definitive version of the original game, complete with upgraded visuals, facial animations, extended accessibility choices, improved combat, and other enhancements. Indeed, Naughty Dog claims that the trip that initially introduced us to Ellie and Joel will be brought to the PS5 without being "encumbered by technology." We've previously seen hints of updates to the character models and more in a debut teaser during the Summer Game Fest.

Overwatch 2 is now aiming for an October 4 early access release date, as announced by Xbox and Bethesda Games at E3 2022. There, we were shown new gameplay video of the multiplayer team-based first-person shooter, as well as a new hero who will make their debut at launch. Junker Queen, a long-rumored Overwatch character, is really on their way to Overwatch 2, armed with a shotgun as their primary weapon and a large two-handed axe as backup. According to the game's initial announcement at BlizzCon 2019, Overwatch 2 will rely more heavily on story elements through new Story Missions.

It's situated in the previous games' Arkham setting and sends players on a mission to take out Brainiac, an evil villain who utilizes his mind control skills to control Justice League members like Superman. It was intended be released on October 25th, but now it’s coming out on October 21st, according to a trailer that debuted at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live show.

Of course, another Call of Duty game will be released in 2022, and this year's installment will be a sequel to Modern Warfare 2019. While Activision has yet to reveal any details about the new game, we do know it will be called Modern Warfare II. According to sources, this new game will center on the Colombian drug cartel and will be more violent and realistic than its predecessor. It will also be linked to the new Warzone iteration, which will run on a new engine. There's still a lot to learn about this game, but Activision will almost certainly disclose it in its entirety later this year.
