Hande Erçel was born on November 24, 1993, in Bandırma and is the daughter of Aylin Erçel and Kaya Erçel. She has only one sister, Gamze Erçel.
She showed interest for acting at a very young age, while her father had ambitions for his daughter to study medicine, Hande has proved that she has interest in the artistic world and the limelight instead.
The Turkish actress moved to Istanbul later on, and enrolled in the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts and majored in Traditional Turkish Arts.
Erçel worked in various parts in the entertainment section, she was a model, TV presenter and began her professional acting career in 2013, her first appearance on the big screen was starring in an episode from the series Tatar Ramazan.
Almost a year after, in 2013 Hande also made an appearance in an episode of the series Çalıkuşu, she portrayed the role of Zahide, in that same year, she won the title Miss Turkey.
Soon after, she learnt sign language to a get a part in the series Çılgın Dersane Üniversitede.
During this period of time Hande dropped out of university due to lack of time, even though she tried her best to balance her professional carrier and her studies, but later ended up only focusing on her career.
In 2020, came one of her last leading roles with which she has achieved greater international recognition and fame; Sen Çal Kapımı where she played Eda Yıldız alongside Kerem Bürsin. The series broke records managing to be the most commented series on social networks such as Twitter surpassing the series Game of Thrones.
She collaborates with several associations for animal, children and women's rights. Since 2019, she has been volunteering for the Cancer Free Life Association (Kansersiz Yaşam Derneği)

As Hande rose to fame, the actress began a romantic relationship with Turkish artist Burak Serdar Şanal, but their relationship did not last long. Later on, she fell into the arms of Ekin Mert Daymaz whom she dated for three years before calling it off.
