Syrian forces began raiding homes and arresting tens of activists on the outskirts of Hama, Syria, at dawn on Monday, opposition activists said Monday. Reports said residents took to the streets and started throwing stones at the security forces
On his part, Rami Abdelrahman, president of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said security forces arrested 25 to 30 activists.
Meanwhile, security forces shot dead two anti-government protesters near Damascus and deployed tanks in a town near the Turkish border, activists said on Monday. Activists said another eight people were injured early on Monday in an army operation in Idlib province, northwest Syria.
Security forces also carried out arrests in Nassib, a village in the southern Daraa province.
