The American University of Beirut is holding its Annual Job Fair 2007 at the AUB Campus on Thursday May 3rd from 12 noon until 7pm and on Friday May 4th from 11am to 6 pm. The Job Fair includes an exhibition which gives participants the opportunity to present their companies to the graduates and the event will close with a Gala Dinner for the participating companies at 8pm on Friday May 4th.
"The AUB is one of the most respected universities in the Middle East and our graduates are much sought after by companies throughout the region because of the high level of their qualifications," said Dr Maryam Ghandour, Job Fair Coordinator. "The AUB Job Fair Exhibition gives interested companies an ideal opportunity to meet the graduates and undergraduates, show them the career opportunities that are available, and at the same time assess the students for their suitability."
For the graduates it is an introduction to the real world of business and industry in which they will have to make their future careers, a chance to learn what their future employers expect of them, and decide what is best for themselves out of the wide range of companies that are participating.
The success of previous AUB Job Fairs can be assessed by results. Last year 121 companies participated and more than 200 AUB graduates were recruited.
