According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, scores have been killed on both sides of clashes between Syrian government forces and Daesh militants in the east of the country, as the group continues attacks on regime-held areas near Deir Ezzor, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
The Britain-Observatory said 120 members of Syrian government forces and 70 fighters from the Daesh militant group had been killed in clashes since Saturday.
Syrian officials could not be reached by Reuters for comment.
