middle east experts announce beverage conference
With a total value exceeding US$ 8 billion and sustained annual growth of 6%, the beverage market in the Arab world attracts a lot of attention. It is a fierce battleground where global mega-brands such as Pepsi and Coca-Cola go head-to-head with leading local companies like Aujan Industries and Al Othman.
But one thing all these companies agree on is the value of the accurate data on the region supplied by IMES Consulting, which has been reporting on Arab beverage markets for over 25 years.
In January, IMES is going a step further by launching its first beverage conference. Based on the theme of “Winning The War for Share of Throat”, the event is expected to attract delegates from across the Arab world and beyond. IMES Managing Director David Edwards is clearly excited: “We want this event to be of real value to the industry,” says Edwards. “So we’ve hand-picked speakers from our extensive list of contacts, focusing on key players with a real contribution to make on the subject of winning in beverage markets”. There can be no doubting the event’s credibility when Tolga Sezer, Executive Vice President at Aujan in Dubai says that “Of all the industry conferences I attend in the next year, I expect this one to be most valuable”.
Edwards explains: “Too many organizers see a conference as an easy way to make money. They offer little and charge a lot. We’re actually part of the beverage industry so we’re keeping the price down to just $995 per delegate while bringing in the best speakers – just don’t expect award ceremonies or gala dinners!”
The conference is to be held on 14th and 15th January at the Crowne Plaza Dubai. See the IMES website on www.imesconsulting.com for further details.
