Russian village evacuated over a fire in military facility

ALBAWABA - A Russian village was evacuated in Volgograd region after a fire that broke out inside a military facility, the regional governor announced Thursday. 

Russia detailed that it repelled a missile attack in the Volgograd region, but debris caused a fire at a military facility. The fire forced the government to evacuate Kotluban village.

"Air defense units of the Russian Ministry of Defence repelled a missile attack on the Volgograd region," Governor Andrey Bocharov said in a statement on Telegram.

"Falling debris caused a fire on the grounds of a Ministry of Defence facility near the village of Kotluban," he maintained.

The Head of Tambov Oblast Evgeny Pervyshov further noted that the blaze was put out by firefighters and no injuries was reoprted, but the eviction took place for people's safety.
