The international coalition against Daesh, composed of the United States and its allies, dropped 38 air strikes on Daesh targets in Iraq and Syria on Saturday, according to a statement from a coalition representative released on Sunday.

In Syria, the 18 strikes were delivered by using fighter and remotely piloted aircrafts. Attacks near Al Hasakah struck eight separate Daesh tactical units, destroying buildings, fighting positions, and a vehicle. Other targets hit were located near Al Hawl, Ar Raqqah, Dayr Az Zawr, and Manbij.

Twenty airstrikes were dropped on Iraq, 10 of which destroyed nine assembly areas near Mosul, a fighting position and two command nodes. Other targets struck were located near Al Baghdadi, Ramadi, Sinjar and other cities.
