In his last hours at the office, the US outgoing president Donald Trump is expected to issue one final batch of clemency actions, one that might include around 100 different names, sparking questions on whether he will include himself or any of his family members in one of his last presidential actions.

Despite multiple reports that have highlighted the possibility of Trump issuing a pardon for himself or his family members, it seems that the second impeachment passed by Congress against the outgoing president has made the president dismiss the idea, according to CNN.
However, Trump is still determined on issuing near 100 pardons before he leaves DC for good on Tuesday morning.
According to experts, Trump will likely pardon his former Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, who has been indicted with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.

Even though the relationship between the two men had witnessed a deep split in 2018, following a book written by Bannon in which he took aim at the president, revealing many shocking details from inside the White House during his 8 months of service; reports have mentioned that the two men have reconciled lately which suggests that Bannon will be on Trump's pardon list
Amongst the other names that are expected to appear on the list is the Florida eye doctor, Dr. Salomon Melgen, who has been convicted of a number of health care fraud cases, CNN reported.

Never the less, White House sources noted that it's highly unlikely that Trump will pardon any of the individuals connected to Capitol riots earlier this month, as his advisors warned him of taking any further action that might drive popular anger towards the leaving administration.
In 2020, trump issued 17 different pardons, including his long-time friend and advisor Roger Stone, who had been convicted with making false statements to Congress and obstructing official procedures.
