Two car bombs killed at least 11 Shiite pilgrims in Iraq on Thursday, AP reported.
The bombs in north Baghdad brought the day’s death toll to 15. More than 60 were reportedly wounded in the attack.
The pilgrims were said to be on their way to the ancient holy city of Samarra.
Earlier on Thursday another car bomb killed four Shiite pilgrims in the south of the country.
The attacks came a day after 33 people were killed in a suicide bombing of a Kurdish political party office in the northern city of Kirkuk and amid rising unrest in the west and a tense standoff in the north of the country.
