ALBAWBA - From Chris Rock-Will Smith slap to Rihanna becoming a mom for the first time, this year has been full of surprises for us.

1. Chris Rock slap
During this year's oscars ceremony, actor Will Smith walked onstage and slapped comedian Chris Rock across the face in front of the audience after Rock made a joke about Smith's wife Jada's shaved head, which she had been shaving since 2021 due to alopecia areata.
Eventually, the academy came to the decision to ban the actor for ten years from attending the ceremony as part of his punishment.
2. Depp Vs. Heard
In 2018, actress Amber Heard wrote an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post, in which she claims she was physically abused by her then husband Johnny Depp.


And this year, a trial was held when Depp accused Heard of defaming him in the op-ed , the jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million dollars in punitive damages.
3. Kane West is the antisemite of the year
In October this year, Kanye West wore a shirt that read: ''White Lives Matter'' and according to The Southern Poverty Law Center, the term is associated with a Neo-Nazi group with that same name.
The Neo-Nazi group was founded as a racist response to the civil rights movement ''Black Lives Matter''

Soon after, West tweeted: ''death con 3 on Jewish people,'' West then falsely claims that George Floyd died because of fentanyl, and that he was not killed by police officers who knelt on his neck for nine minutes till he was out of breath.
According to CNN, West had an obsession with Adolf Hitler, adding that the rapper wanted to name an album after him. And this year, Kanye tweeted: ''starting to think anti-Semitic means [the N word],'' the tweet was eventually removed by Twitter.
During an appearance on theorist Alex Jones' broadcast West said: ''I love Jewish people,'' and ''I like Nazis'' and can see “good things about Hitler.''
4. Love is in the air
This year was full of magic and love between our beloved celebrities, as many people said their I do's while others found their perfect match.
In 2022, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot, and this is special news as the duo were previously engaged almost a decade ago, their wedding was set for September of 2003, but the pair cancelled their wedding just two days prior to saying their I do's and announced their official breakup in January 2004.

Actress Megan Fox and rapper Machine Gun Kelly tied the knot on May. 15, 2022, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker also said their I do's in Italy during a romantic ceremony.

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham said their I do's in a lavish Jewish wedding ceremony.

Beckham and Peltz's wedding took place over three days, with 500 guests attending, and reportedly cost a little over $4 million.
5. Everyone is convinced that Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine

During The Don't Worry Darling movie premiere, the cast of the film were sitting including actor Chris Pine, and in a video circulating all over social media, Harry Styles can be seen approaching Pine, slowly kneeling down, before allegedly spitting on the actor.
6. Balenciaga's alleged child porn campaign
Balenciaga pulled a campaign that showed pictures of children, holding teddy bears in sexually evocative costumes, when Twitter users zoomed in on the campaign photos, “virtual child porn” court document were spotted.

Kim Kardashian, who is also Balenciaga's brand ambassador, broke her silence over the latest campaign, saying that she is re-evaluating her professional relationship with the brand.
7. Kendall Jenner and cucumbers
Kendall Jenner broke the internet a few months back with a viral video of her attempting to cut a cucumber.

On an episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kendall Jenner and her mom Kris Jenner were hanging out in the kitchen, and Jenner decided to make a salad, the model refused the chef to make her the salad, so she decided to make her own, little did eveyone know, Kendall does not know how to cut cucumber.
The 818 Tequila founder called her kitchen skills 'tragic'.
8. Rihanna becomes a mom
Superstar Rihanna welcomed her first son with A$AP Rocky in May of 2022.
The singer revealed her pregnancy in January in a bold fashion statement, she wowed a low waist denim jeans with a long pink buffer jacket during an NY photoshoot with A$AP, her outfit reportedly cost $29.000.
And in December, Rihanna shared the first glimpse of her baby boy in a TikTok video, her son can bee seen sitting in a car seat while his mom records him and says: ''You tryna get mommy phone? ''

9. Nick Cannon welcomes 4 kids in 6 months
Nick Cannon have welcomed 11 kids with six different women.
For a quick recap, Cannon welcomed his first two children, twins with his ex Mariah Carey in 2011. Nick split from the singer, and welcomed his third child with Brittany Bell in 2017, the pair then welcomed their second child together in 2020, and in September of this year, Nick and and Brittany welcomed a baby boy, their third child together.
That makes a total of 5 kids.
But Nick was having a secret relationship DJ Abby De La Rosa, and their love became public when they announced they were expecting twin boys who were born in 2021.

Nick welcomed his eighth child with his girlfriend Bre Tiese while still waiting for his ninth baby with a fifth woman.
And this year, Cannon announced that he had welcomed his ninth child with LaNisha Cole.
In January of 2021, Nick welcomed a baby boy named Zen with Alyssa Scottthey, however, the new born died a few months after due to fluid building up in the brain.
Alyssa and Nick confirmed that they are expecting what would be Cannon's 11th child.
10. Celebs leave Twitter as Elon Musk takes charge
Tesla CEO Elon Musk took control of Twitter in October, and with that, celebrities were not pleased as many has deactivated their accounts confirming that they won't be using the platform anymore. And it is reported that Twitter may have lost more than a million users since Musk took over
