ALBAWABA - Sadly, several celebrities lost their lives this year and will no longer be around as the clock ticks into the New Year. Albawaba compiled a list of public figures and influential icons who died in 2022.

1. Bob Saget

Beloved comedian and actor Bob Saget passed away on Jan. 9. He was 65. The Full House star was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Orlando, Florida. The cause of death was attributed to a head trauma. The actor accidentally bumped his head the night before, and thought nothing of it. He went to sleep, but never woke up. According to U.S. authorities, ''No drugs or alcohol were involved.''
2. Taylor Hawkins

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away on Mar. 25t in his hotel room in Colombia. He was 50. Colombian authorities revealed that the late musician had 10 substances in his system, including benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants, and THC.
3. Ray Liotta

Goodfellas actor Ray Liotta died March 26. He was 67. The late star died in his sleep in what was described as another case of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.
4. Tom Parker
The Wanted singer Tom Parker, lost his fight with an inoperable brain tumor, which he was diagnosed with in 2020. It was stage 4 glioblastoma He died on Mar. 30 at the age of 33.
5. Gilbert Gottfried

On Apr. 12, actor Gilbert Gottfried died of Recurrent Ventricular Tachycardia due to Myotonic Dystrophy type II. He was 67. The rare illness affected Gottfried's muscles, other body systems like the heart, eyes, and pancreas.
6. Mike Hagerty

Mike Hagerty, who played Mr. Treeger on the hit sitcom Friends passed away on May 5, at the age of 67. Hagerty reportedly died from an adverse reaction to an antibiotic that sent him into a coma, according to TMZ.
7. James Caan

The Godfather and Misery actor James Caan died on July 6 at the age of 82. Caan died of a heart attack and coronary artery disease, according to his death certificate.
8. Olivia Newton-John

Greace actress Olivia Newton-John, died on Aug. 8 after losing a battle with breast cancer. She was 73. Newton-John was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, the cancer went into remission, but recurred in 2013 as a tumor in her shoulder.
9. Coolio

Rapper Coolio passed away on Sept. 28 at the age of 59. The reason of his demise was attributed to a cardiac arrest. He was cremated in a private ceremony, with no funeral service.
10. Robbie Coltrane

Actor Robbie Coltrane, who played 'Hagrid' on Harry Potter, passed away on Oct. 14 at the age of 72. Coltrane died of multiple organ failure, and according to his death certificate, the late star suffered from sepsis, a lower respiratory tract infection and heart block.
11. Leslie Jordan

Comedian Leslie Jordan died in a car accident on Oct. 24 at the age of 67. While driving en route to film scenes at the Call Me Kat se, it is suspected that Jordan had a medical emergency and crashed into the side of a building at Cahuenga Boulevard and Romaine Street in Hollywood.
12. Takeoff

On Nov. 1, the youngest member of 'Migos', Takeoff, died in a shooting spree at a bowling alley. He was 28. The shooting took place at Billiard Bowling Alley in Houston, Texas, where he was. Time magazine said a 33-year-old man was arrested on a murder charge in the shooting of the rapper. And police reports attested that Takeoff was just an innocent bystander.
13. Aaron Carter

Singer Aaron Carter, and the baby brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter passed away on Nov. 5. He was 34. Carter was found dead in his home, and multiple sources revealed that the singer was found unresponsive in his bathtub. Carter, was open about his mental health struggles. In 2019, he publicly said that he was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety and depression.
14. Irene Cara

Actress and singer Irene Cara died at the age of 63 on Nov. 25. Cara died in her home in Largo, Florida. The cause of her death remains unknown.
15. Kirstie Alley

Beloved actress Kirtsie Alley passed away on Dec. 5. She was 71. The singer died of colon cancer, which according to her family, was "recently discovered."
16. tWitch

Dancer and TV personality Stephen Boss, also known as 'tWitch' committed suicide during on Dec. 13. He was 40.
